My First Post

This is my first post on my site following the rebuilding of my site.

I redesigned my website as my previous rendition was very bulky with very little quality content, so I wanted to streamline the site down and have more quality content on my website. I’ll write a post soon on how this site all fits together, going more into the technical side, and why you should try to achieve something similar too.

Also, I’ve removed some bloated features of my old site that might have looked interesting but in retrospect these features did not add any value to the site. Such features were animations while scrolling through the site, an animated nav-bar and various other bits of JavaScript. As you can tell with this new site, I’ve gone for a far more minimalistic approach and removed any kind of JavaScript on the site and tried to keep everything visible on one page (with the exception of long posts when I get more into writing them).

I plan to add more posts on this site with more of my passions in mind and tutorials on topics I believe are useful to learn. This could range from the tech landscape to thoughts on books I have read. I may also try to have friends to write “guest” posts on this page to diversify the content.

Overall, I’ve rebuilt my website from a bulky page designed to be a portfolio, to a minimalistic page where I can write about what I am interested in, making the site more personal to me and in my opinion, more interesting. This site is an ongoing project, so I’ll be writing posts and producing content for this page in the coming weeks so be on the look out! There is also an RSS feed you can subscribe to in the navigation bar, which will update when I add a new post to the site. I am very new to this type of website, so if you have any feedback any on posts or layout, please let me know - it is greatly appreciated.
